Create a bubble of space and light in your life with this one day Summer Yoga retreat!
We take this day for ourselves, by making space for all parts of us to settle down and reconnect. The busier we are the more we need to relax, so taking just one day like this can nourish us for months to come, as we finally give ourselves the time to muse and contemplate and digest our life.
Our day starts at 11:30 am with tea and time to find our place and set an intention for the day. Slowly and steadily we revive the body and mind through a 90 minute asana practice with music.
A delicious vegetarian lunch and a restorative & meditative yoga practice are also part of this day long retreat..

Yoga is about opening the heart. It is about treating ourselves well. It is about balance. A one day retreat can help with all three of these leaving you feeling replenished in body, mind, and soul. Taking time for yourself like this is not self centred, its about becoming a more centred self!

Taking time to connect means you can pause and receive insight and information you need to restore and deepen the connection to yourself and your life.

The day includes meditation, breath work, time for contemplation, a strong asana practice, guided meditation, a restorative asana practice, and an opportunity for discussion.

The morning session is a strong practice but suitable for beginners to yoga who enjoy a strong (but deeply mindful) workout!

Bio
Karla Kelly
Karla Kelly, MPhil E-RYT 500 is a yoga teacher, music lover and DJ and the founder of the House of Yoga method and House of Yoga Waterford Studio. She’s also trained in massage, sound therapy and breathwork. Since 1998 she has been a student and explorer of the subtle realms especially the 7 main energy centres – the Chakras. House of Yoga’s logo is a depiction of these 7 centres.

Karla’s resource for happiness outside of her yoga and meditation practices has always been House Music 🙂 Yoga training inspired a journey of gentle self discipline & she used house music to focus her busy mind into her breath and heart during her daily practice.
From this she was inspired to create House of Yoga, a practice she has shared in yoga studios, music festivals (Glastonbury, Body&Soul, Electric Picnic, Oxegen) schools and workplaces, brining up to 300 people together in this co-creative flashmob of breathtobeat technology.

Yoga teachings tell us that breathing techniques (pranayama) are the bridge between the subtle body and the physical body. Over the past 10 years Karla has developed the breathe with the beat HouseofYoga technique and has found this resource of balancing breath, beat and asana to be hugely beneficial in her teaching, practice and work especially in ‘tuning’ in a fast and busy mind with the slower, deeper rhythms of body and heart

Her chakra wifi logo has evolved this past year as a metaphor for ‘attuning’ from her own personal internal wifi (my house) in relation to the wifi of the larger world (House) outside. Karla’s exploration and interest in the inner world/outer world relationship deepened in this past year as part of her training with her teacher Thomas Hubl and the Pocket Project. Training with a focus on trauma release has deepened her commitment and study to soothing and restorative practices so this full day retreat is for her a great opportunity to offer her best work and experience.
