As the festive season approaches, self care and relaxation is often the first thing to go off the to do list. However, if we don’t take time to reset and restore our bodies, minds and hearts, we can often find ourselves too stressed and even sick when Christmas week begins.

Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. … During the long holds of restorative yoga, however, your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. It’s a unique feeling because props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body.
As part of the class there will be 15 minutes of gentle easy releasing movements to unwind physical tensions so that we can drop easier into this passive, receiving space and allow gravity and our breath to restore our beingness into its natural relaxation state. Breathing practices (pranayama) and simple meditation techniques are also incorporated into this class to allow deep restorative rest and relaxation.
