We’re delighted to welcome International Yoga Teacher Daniel Morgan to Waterford for the first time to teach a special weekend focusing on going upside down! 

Saturday 21st October 10am-1pm
“Hands as Feet: Learn to Turn Your World Upside Down” (3 hours)

The aim of this workshop is to bring a deeper understanding of the physiology and body position of our inversions. Through practical experience and various drills, this workshop will help you to obtain a deeper understanding of the alignment required in you inversions, and how we are able to successfully achieve it through practice.

Saturday 21st 2-5pm
Strength and Stability: The Strength Fundamentals of Inversions (3hours)

The aim of this workshop is to bring an understanding of the strength, stability and support required when venturing into the world of inversions! This workshop looks at various drills that help us acquire, or build on existing strength, so that we can begin to develop a sense of ease as we turn our worlds upside down. 

Sunday 22nd 10-1pm

Discovery & Balance: Alignment, Mobility & Balance for your Inversions (3hours)
The aim of this workshop is to bring a deeper understanding of how we find balance and stability in our inversions practice. Through practical experience and various drills, this workshop will teach you how to find balance and stability in each inversion – learning not only how to find your balance initially, but how to correct if you over or under-balance.

Sunday 22nd 2-5pm
Taking Flight: A journey into floating and pressing.(3hours)

The aim of this workshop is to bring everything together from the previous two workshops – and then to experiment with taking it a step further. After we begin to understand the practice of inversions – we can then begin to incorporate them into all sorts of fun dynamic practices. This workshop offers various drills to help us on our journey to floating and pressing into our inversions.

My journey in yoga began with the combined interests of developing a healthy body, but also a healthy mind. This interest developed from a young age, spanning across a multitude of disciplines including; rock climbing, gymnastics, calisthenics, mixed martial arts, meditation and music. Initially, these activities were practiced individually, but I then found my true passion in the study and practice of Yoga as a lifestyle – both on and off the mat. Having studied Yoga for Six Years, I qualified as a Yoga teacher at the Marianne Wells Yoga School (Yoga Alliance), training in Costa Rica. It was here that I decided to dedicate my life to teaching and sharing the life changing practice that I experienced.I believe that Yoga is for anyone and everyone, and that it will be beneficial regardless of a students current ability or their aspirations. I believe Yoga is a continuous journey of self study and practice
When I teach, I always ensure that there is a safe environment to practice, where anyone and everyone will feel welcome, happy and comfortable. I offer guidance, adjustments and alternative postures to students (when appropriate) so that regardless of their ability, each individual will be able to reach their full potential within each and every class. My personal practice is derived from traditional teachings in Hatha, Iyengar, and Ashtanga. I choose elements from the different schools of yoga, and incorporate them into my lessons to suit the desired intention of the class.Yoga, alternative physical / spiritual development, and the study of all aspects of developing a holistic lifestyle, provide an open ended journey of learning and discovery which I endeavour to deepen every day, and then incorporate into my teaching.

Free talk on Traditional Chinese Medicine this Friday!

From 6-9 on Friday 29th come join us for a free introduction talk, on how TCM can be a benefit to your health and wellness, by Dheai Isaaid.
Traditional Chinese Medicine is an ancient set of practices from China that operate under the belief that the processes of the human body are interrelated and connected to the environment. TCM practitioners approach healthcare from a holistic standpoint, looking for the underlying imbalances and disharmonies behind an illness. The practitioner will look at the whole picture and try to treat the patient, instead of just the disease. We will also be joined by Joanne Denn, Kangen Water Consultant, Holistic Practitioner and Acupuncturist, who will talk on the benefits of drinking Alkaline ionised water. Joanne will also share with you new medical studies by Dr H.S. Filtzer MD FACS (Cardiologist and co inventor of the heart stint)

Veronica Larsson Immersion Begins This Weekend!

Delighted to be beginning an Immersion on the Subtle Body/Yoga Energy Medicine this weekend! International Teacher Veronica Larsson for an 8 day, 4 weekend Immersion on the Subtle body (based on one day per chakra with a day for integration)

Weekend 2 7/8 October 11:30-5:30pm 
Dedicated to the Navel / Solar Plexus chakra, and the Heart, seat of our soul power and infinite intelligence combined, and their related to aspects in asana, physicality, psychology, endocrine function, wind (vayu) movement, and nourishment; we explore and learn through asana, meditation, teachings, breath, energy medicine, and grace.
Weekend 3 November 4/5 11:30-5:30pm 
Grounded and informed by the previous weekends, here we can powerfully move into the ‘choice point of creation’ – the Throat Chakra and the Third Eye, and their related to aspects in asana, physicality, psychology, endocrine function, wind (vayu) movement, and nourishment; we explore and learn through asana, meditation, teachings, breath, energy medicine, and grace.
Weekend 4 2/3 December 11:30-5:30pm
dedicated the Crown Charka: Integration, Teaching, Dharma deep Integration of the work in previous modules. The related to aspects in asana, physicality, psychology, endocrine function, wind (vayu) movement, and nourishment always get explored through asana, meditation, teachings, breath, energy medicine, and grace.

About Veronica
Veronica taught regular classes and trained yoga teachers for many years, then founded the Subtle Body Anatomy & Yoga Energy Medicine Training; and now delivers this module as part of Yoga Alliance 300hrs trainings. She also offers these teachings in retreats and immersions. They are open to all; teachers, healers, leaders, facilitators and seekers that wish to learn more about working with Subtle Body Anatomy; Chakras, Koshas, Vayus, Nadis;  Classes include meditation and dharma talks; asana work that teaches real life functioning of chakra, kosha, vayu and nadi. We glimpse a fraction of the vast interrelated network of systems that create the human experience, how to get to experience their balanced state, and how to utilize that for us, in practice and in teaching, the Energy Medicine of Yoga.  Eye opening and far reaching teachings that will enrich and inform the path of any sincere teacher and student.

What are Family Constellations?

Family Constellation is a powerful method to help you recognise difficult entanglements, both in your family of origin as well as in your present family or relationship. Solution-oriented interventions bring understanding, which is followed by a deep relaxation that allows love to flow again between members of the family system.
Systemic Family Therapy was first developed by the German therapist, Bert Hellinger. In this therapeutic approach, we consider the individual as part of a greater whole – a family system – rather than as a separate entity. His individual behaviour, feelings and attitudes, have to be understood in the context of this larger group. As in any other system, unspoken laws operating within the family guide behaviour that we, as family members, are largely unaware of. Suffering usually arises in a family member when one or more members of the system unconsciously violate these archaic laws. They do this unknowingly, not out of rebelliousness as one might expect, but out of love – a ‘blind’ love.
The way we bring these hidden, family dynamics to light is to have the client use the help of other group participants to create a constellation of his or her family. The participants, representing members of that person’s family, are positioned in the room in relation to each other according to the client’s feeling in that moment. In this way, we create a living model of their original (or present) family. What we have found is that the feelings and thoughts of the people representing family members are very similar to those of the actual family members. There obviously exists an energy field that guides the representatives’ movements and allows them to have access to all essential information of the systemic field.
Such constellations are usually carried out with a group of people, where members of the group play the roles of representatives. However, it also works in individual sessions where cushions or other symbols can be used to represent the positions of family members.
This work uniquely uncovers any destructive family dynamic that may be lingering beneath the surface. But that is not all it does: when those standing in for family members follow their spontaneous movements minutely, not only are family entanglements revealed, but we also discover what leads to healing. Healing movements are supported by the interventions of the therapist, who brings in missing or excluded family-members, suggests new and more conscious behaviours, and finds healing sentences for the family members to say to each other. Finally a new, more natural and healing balance for the whole system can be found, where the love between its members can flow again in a new and more conscious way.
A constellation reveals unconscious collective laws operating within a family system and also helps us to fall in tune with higher laws that take us beyond both the personal and the individual family, and brings us in contact with another dimension, where we all are one. This has an immediate healing effect not only on us, but on everyone who is close to us.
