Kate started attending yoga classes in Dublin in 2002 in the hope of increasing her flexibility after years of horse riding, running and the gym left her feeling tight in her hamstrings, hips and shoulders. From the first class she was hooked by the sensa-tion of relaxation and ease in her body and mind following an hour on the mat. Kate graduated with an MSc and her career in pharmaceutical quality brought her to Waterford in 2006. Since then she has continued to enjoy yoga as part of her life to compliment her love of horse riding and any ac-tivity that gets her into the great outdoors. It’s also been a regular part of family life with her 6 year old daughter regularly joining her on the mat for yoga fun! Kate completed 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2016 in MyYoga Water-ford and through the full year of training deepened her understanding of the practice of yoga, the anatomy and science of yoga and how the prac-tice can make a real difference to peoples mobility and body awareness which complemented her interest in health sciences. Along the way she has found a love of teaching and bringing the benefits of yoga to anyone who will take the time to try a class. Kate loves to bring yoga to people who haven’t tried it before and enjoys seeing the improve-ments a regular class can bring to peoples mobility, flexibility, happiness, relaxation and sports performance.
